The LW Wastegate was designed in 2018 and has been on race-winning cars in Rally X as well as on some street applications.
Based on the ultra-successful WTCC and GT3 wastegates, the LW keeps the same valve size and casting as the WTCC and GT3 wastegates, but utilises a smaller diaphragm, spring and cap in the quest for reduced mass (LW = low weight).
Designed to cope with the extreme conditions experienced during racing, the LW was designed with high performance and exceptional quality parts, so as not to compromise reliability:
- Inconel casting
- Nimonic 80 forged valve
- Austenitic Stainless Steel spring - this is available in many different spring rates, depending on your boost requirement
- Stainless steel billet machined valve guide housing
- Sintered valve guide
- Internal Inconel heat shield to protect valve guide and membrane
- Top-hat style Nomex-reinforced fluoropolymer rolling membrane
- #3 and #4 JIC Boost connectors – Impossible to connect incorrectly
- V-band clamp mounting system, supplied with 304 stainless weld-on adaptors
